Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Management

What is COPD?

COPD is a term used to describe lung diseases including emphysema, chronic bronchitis, non-reversible asthma, and some forms of bronchiectasis. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), in the United States, smoking is the main cause of a COPD diagnosis - linked to approximately 80% of all COPD deaths. Symptoms are noticed in the more advanced stages of the disease.
