Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke are the world's largest killers, claiming 17.1 million lives each year. These diseases are major, but coincidentally enough, preventable. February is designated to educating and encouraging individual's to decrease their risks for developing cardiovascular diseases.
Some preventable actions you can take:
- Quit smoking
- Exercise regularly
- Follow a healthy diet
- Reduce stress
- Know your cholesterol, blood pressure and glucose numbers
