Protect Yourself and Others with the Flu Shot

September 03, 2022

Getting a flu vaccine every year is the best way to protect yourself and your family from flu and its potentially serious complications. The CDC recommends that everyone 6 months and older get vaccinated by the end of October.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is even more important than ever to get a flu vaccine, as both viruses will likely be circulating this fall and winter. For adults, the flu vaccine has been shown to reduce the risk of hospitalization for flu related complications by 40%, and is especially important for those with chronic conditions who are at higher risk for flu complications.

Please talk to your provider or local pharmacy about how and when to get your flu vaccine.
