Russell Matuszak
Vice President, Compliance, Privacy and Ethics, Chief Compliance Officer
Russell Matuszak joined Highmark Blue Shield of Northeastern New York in 2005 and is the company’s vice president, compliance, privacy and ethics, chief compliance officer.
He is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and overseeing an effective compliance, privacy, and ethics program for the company that is consistent with regulatory requirements.
In his tenure with Blue Shield he has served as legal counsel and most recently, as senior director, chief compliance and privacy officer.
Matuszak earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University at Buffalo and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Canisius College.
He serves on the board of directors for the Niagara Frontier Corporate Counsel Association. Matuszak is an adjunct accounting professor for Canisius College.
