Lester Lachuk, PharmD, MBA
Vice President, Pharmacy
Lester Lachuk, PharmD, MBA joined Highmark Blue Shield of Northeastern New York in 2019 and is the company’s vice president, pharmacy.
Lachuk oversees all facets of Blue Shield’s strategic pharmacy plan, including quality improvement and pharmacy drug cost trend management strategies.
Lester has significant experience in pharmacy leadership roles, including most recently for Dean Health Plan in Madison, Wisconsin, where he served as Director of Pharmacy Services. Prior to that, he held leadership positions with EmblemHealth and InStil Health Insurance Company, a division of Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina.
Lester received a doctor of pharmacy from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, a master of business administration from the Moore School of Business in Columbia and an associate in arts from Miami Dade College in Miami, Florida.
A Six Sigma Green Belt, Lester is a Licensed Pharmacist in Florida, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, South Carolina, and Wisconsin. He serves on the board for Delaware Soccer Club.
