Jennifer Johengen-Vogel, MS, RN
Vice President, Health Management
Jennifer Johengen-Vogel, MS, RN, joined Highmark Blue Shield of Northeastern New York in 2009 and is the company’s vice president, health management.
She is responsible for developing and supporting the company’s health management strategy to improve health outcomes. Additionally, Vogel oversees clinical program development and innovation, and key clinical partnerships.
Previously she served as senior director, health management for the company and in leading positions at Horizon Health Services and Independent Health.
A registered nurse and certified case manager, Vogel earned a master’s degree in psychiatric mental health nursing, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University at Buffalo.
She serves on the executive board of the Buffalo Prenatal-Perinatal Network, Inc., and is chair of its Sustainability Committee. Vogel also serves on the board of directors for Horizon Health Services and the American Diabetes Association of Western New York.
