At Highmark Blue Shield of Northeastern New York, our mission is to enhance the lives of others. As part of our mission, we support organizations that promote physical health, community health, and our region's health. Our employees also raise and donate several hundred thousand dollars each year and volunteer in the communities we serve. 

American Heart Association

The American Heart Association is working to create a world free of heart disease and stroke — where everyone can achieve the best possible health. It starts right here in the Capital Region.

Capital District YMCA

The Capital District YMCA is a cause-driven organization focused on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Together, we believe a strong community can be achieved when we invest in our kids, health, and neighbors.

Empire State Plaza: New York State Office of General Services

The Empire State Plaza is a cultural hub featuring family-friendly events and activities. Our partnership helps to provide free health and wellness opportunities to our local communities.

Empire State Winter Games

For more than 33 years, the Empire State Winter Games have encouraged athletes of all ages to “Get Out and Play,” along with the opportunity to compete in the largest multisport amateur athletic winter sporting event in North America.

Foundation for Ellis Medicine

The Foundation ensures quality health care in our community by raising, investing, and distributing funds that support the lifesaving work performed at Ellis Medicine.

Girls on the Run Capital Region

Girls on the Run Capital Region inspires girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.

Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York

The Regional Food Bank has helped feed the hungry in our communities since 1982. As the only organization of its kind in the Capital Region, the Food Bank collects and distributes over 40 million pounds of food per year to individuals and agencies in 23 counties.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region
