You can change your PCP online by following the steps below. Before changing your PCP we encourage you to contact the doctor you are selecting to ensure that they are accepting new patients. Your new PCP selection will be effective on the first day of next month. Please be sure to select a new PCP that is in your provider network.
Please note that you cannot complete transactions for covered dependents or your spouse who are 18 and over. These dependents will need to create their own online account to make changes to their PCP or view their claims.
In the Online Services box which appears on the Online Services login page, enter your user ID and password and click “Logon”. If you have not yet registered, click here.
On the next screen click on the “eServices” button located above the Welcome message.
A new window will open. On the left side of the new window, click on “Change Primary Care Physician”.
Displayed on the screen will be your name and any dependents you have under the age of 18. Click on the name of the individual that you will be changing the PCP for.
The name of your current PCP will display under the “Current Physician” heading. Click the “Find New PCP” button to select the physician you would like to designate as your new PCP.
In the new window, enter the name of the physician or other search criteria to help you locate the physician you would like to select. A list of physicians meeting your search criteria will populate at the bottom of the screen. Click on the physician you would like to select as your new PCP.
The name of the physician will be populated under “New Physician”. The effective date (the first of next month) will be populated as well. If you would like a later effective date, please enter it. Then click “Submit Form”.
You will receive a confirmation of the change as well as a confirmation number. You may now close out of the screen by clicking the “X” in the upper right corner.
